On Sunday, two Chief Ministers namely, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal skipped the third Governing Council meeting at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

“West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal could not come to attend the Governing Council meeting today at Rashtrapati Bhavan,” said a source.

At the Niti Ayog meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pitched for New India vision, deliberating on the 15-year Vision Document to accelerate the country’s economic development.

According to sources, CM Arvind Kejriwal sent Deputy CM Manish Sisodia to represent Delhi.

The meeting was, however, attended by a large number of CMs as PM Modi has strictly disallowed official representatives to participate in the event. The Prime minister also made it clear that only Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers are allowed to represents their states.
