Two day after resigning from party’s election committees, Ashok Tanwar on Saturday called it a quit from Congress. The former Haryana Congress president Tanwar resigned from the primary membership of party.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, Tanwar said, “After long deliberations with party workers and for reasons well known to all Congressman and public, I hereby resign from the primary membership of the INC India.”

Tanwar, who was at loggerheads with former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, had protested outside Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s house in New Delhi on Wednesday over the distribution of tickets for the Haryana assembly elections.
