Asus teases world’s first dual-mode gaming monitor

Asus gaming monitor: Asus has provided us with an advanced look at the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP, a monitor that will be unveiled at CES 2024. This monitor’s capability to transition between two display modes—4K resolution at a remarkable 240Hz and Full HD at a staggering 480Hz—distinguishes it as a genuinely revolutionary product. LG is most likely the manufacturer of the OLED panel that Asus used in this monitor.

On the same day, LG also unveiled its dual-Hz monitor.

In the wake of Asus’s noteworthy declaration, LG has also introduced its cutting-edge UltraGear OLED gaming monitors. The 32GS95UE, a 32-inch OLED monitor that supports both 4K at 240Hz and 1080p at 480Hz, is one of the highlights. The monitor is equipped with notable attributes, such as an exceptionally broad 98.5% DCI-P3 color gamut, a contrast ratio of 1.5 million:1, and a response time of 0.03 milliseconds. LG intends to release additional dual-mode monitors in the coming year, including the 39GS95QE and UltraGear OLED 32GS95UE, both of which are classified under their “Dual-Hz” technology lineup.

The ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM monitor, which Asus unveiled earlier this year, boasts a 31.5-inch OLED display, an impressive 1000 nits peak luminance, and 4K 240Hz capabilities. Almost certainly, this monitor features a Samsung panel. It is evident that leading monitor manufacturers are competing to offer 32-inch 4K 240Hz OLED displays with LG and Samsung panels.

The video alludes to the fact that the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP monitor will feature a 32-inch panel with almost no bezels and a sturdy three-foot stand, possibly with DisplayPort 2.1 support. As a result of its innovative technology, it is reasonable to presume that the price will be relatively high, although this has not yet been confirmed.

Asus unveiled the ROG Swift Pro PG248QP 540Hz gaming monitor at CES 2023; it has since become commercially available in the European Union and the United States. Featuring an impressive 540Hz refresh rate, an E-TN panel for improved responsiveness, NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, and practical design features such as adjustable supports, this 24.1-inch monitor is an excellent option for optimizing your gaming setup.
