Tiger Shroff’s action-packed drama took all over the cinema, despite coronavirus outbreak it did not affect Baaghi 3’s business. After Baaghi and Baaghi 2, the third installment titled Baaghi 3 is wowing the audience and dominating the box office. Baaghi 3 managed to earn Rs 20 crore on its first Sunday and has gone to reach a stupendous total of Rs 53 crore mark in its first weekend.
The Tiger Shroff starrer showed good growth of 25 percent especially considering the drop on Saturday. The growth was solid in mass markets with some circuits going up 40 percent plus, the report said.
Despite negative reviews from the film critics, Baaghi 3 managed to attract audiences to the theatres. The majority of the people that are thronging theatres are hard-core Tiger fans who will go support their favorite actor no matter what the critics say about his films.
Filmmaker Ahmed Khan recently revealed that Baaghi 3 team was scared and if given a chance they would have considered postponing the release of the film due to coronavirus. However, now he is is overwhelmed with the response to the film. “Malls are not functioning, shops are not working, considering the situation, cinema is the last thing people want to go to. “In such a scenario, the film has earned Rs 17.50 to Rs 18 crore and it is overwhelming. Even if we had made Rs 7 to 8 crore then also it would have been good. It is the biggest opening of the year until now. We had expected much more but you can’t fight almighty and nature,” the director told PTI.
Apart from Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, Baaghi 3 also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Ankita Lokhande, Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma and Ashutosh Rana, among others, in pivotal roles. Jackie Shroff is seen in a cameo.
