Baahubali The Epic Re-release Box Office Day 3: On 31 October 2025, the re-edited, single-film version of S. S. Rajamouli’s two-part saga, Baahubali: The Epic was released in theatres and it opened with a notable standings.

Baahubali The Epic Re-release Box Office Day 3

Day 1 (Friday) collections were close to ₹9.65 crore net in India with the Telugu version being the major contributor. A collection of around ₹7.10 crore net was made on Day 2 (Saturday) which indicated a decrease of about 26%. Early figures for Day 3 (Sunday) suggest that the collection was close to ₹2.00 crore net, thus, the 3-day domestic net total is around ₹19.9-20.6 crore.

Regional Performance

Telugu market: The occupancy for the morning shows on Day 3 in the Telugu locations was ~39.27%.

Tamil market: The morning occupancy was around ~45.89% for the Tamil versions.

Hindi version: The morning show attendance was shockingly low with only ~11.32% of the seats filled.

This means that although the movie was able to attract a large number of people in its main markets (Telugu & Tamil), the Hindi-speaking regions did not show the same level of interest.

Reasons for the Poor Performance of the Hindi Version

There are several factors that could have led to the poor reception of the Hindi version:

The film is a combination of the 2015/2017 parts of the franchise, not a brand-new storyline.

The considerable fall from Day 2 to Day 3 shows that the opening buzz did not lead to the continuation of the momentum, particularly in those markets where the base audience is small.

Record Achievements Amid Mixed Reception

Although the film dropped on Sunday, there are quite a few milestones:

This re-release on its first day achieved one of the highest opening figures for any film in India in 2025, especially among re-releases.

By Sunday, this film has already moved up to the 7th position in the ranking of top re-released films in India, leaving behind such classics as Sholay (re-release).

These milestones are a great indication of how strong the Baahubali brand is and that event-releases fueled by nostalgia are still a viable business, though not without their limitations.

Baahubali: The Epic has managed to make a powerful and energetic start, thus, the franchise and its appeal in the core markets are confirmed beyond any doubt. Nevertheless, the accentuated under‐performance of the Hindi belt, on the other hand, points to the fact that nostalgia has its limits when it comes to pan-India box-office strength.

As a result, the re-release will be considered a success due to robust numbers early on and record standings.
