This Friday, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Badla released in the theatre. The crime thriller by Sujoy Ghosh has received a lot of appreciation from the critics as well as the audience.
Though there were reports of the movie getting off to a slow start the movie surely picked up the pace later in the day and has now slated a decent start, confirms trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
The film on the first day has collected a decent collection of Rs 5.04 crore India and Rs 5.94 gross which is quite good for a non-holiday release. The film will pick pace over the weekend, says Taran Adarsh.
The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Amrita Singh in pivotal roles. It is Amitabh and Taapsee’s second film together after Pink. Pink collected Rs 4.32 cr on an opening day. So keeping that in view, it is Amitabh and Taapsee highest opening grosser.
The story is based on a young married entrepreneur finds herself in a locked hotel room next to the body of her dead lover. Hoping to find answers, she hires a prestigious lawyer to help her solve the mystery of what really happened.
Sujoy Ghosh directorial film is produced under Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chilli Entertainment. However, the film is expected to earn a hefty collection over the weekend.
