Sujoy Ghosh directorial movie ‘Badla’ released today is getting rave reviews all over, courtesy the thrilling and mysterious storyline it offers. Director Sujoy Ghosh is known for his crime thrillers and earlier also gave hit movies like Kahaani.

Another fantastic thing about the movie is Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu reuniting after their hit film ‘Pink’. Badla is an intense effort by the director and gives all the mystery, suspense, thrill that the audience expects from a film.

The thrilling storyline is a treat to the eye as it keeps you hooked up till the end without any doubt.

The story is based on Naina, who is accused of killing her lover, Arjun. She claims that she was attacked by an unknown assailant while they were in a hotel room, who later killed Arjun. However, the police couldn’t find any proof that any outsider entered or left the room. Naina is given three hours by her new lawyer Badal Gupta to tell him everything about the incident. And what happens next is what was unexpected for both of them.

Apart from Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, the film also stars Amrita Singh and Tony Luke in pivotal roles. The performances in the movie are outstanding and everyone has given their best to keep the thrill till the end. Amitabh and Taapsee team up is always the best and that is quite evident from their previous film Pink. They have once against proved their worth in Badla. Apart from the star performances, one performance that will surely make you stand up and clap is of Amrita Singh. She is a banger and has stolen the show despite big performances in the film.

The movie being a remake of the Spanish film The invisible Guest gives more than it offers in that film and even if you have seen the Spanish one, Badla will still keep you at the edge of your seat thoroughly.

Keeping in view the technical aspect of the film, the background score is good, the cinematography is beautiful and the editing is sharp. Dialogues are good with a humorous touch, especially those spoken by Amitabh Bachchan’s character.

So if you love to watch crime thrillers and want to watch a gripping and engaging one, this movie is a must watch and will give you all that is needed to satisfy the mysterious inner pseudo.
