Baldur’s Gate 3: It may seem like a straightforward feature, but the ability to highlight objects in Baldur’s Gate 3 is incredibly useful. If you’ve forgotten how to do it or missed the information, our guide reveals everything – literally.

Baldur’s Gate 3 performed exceptionally well in early access, and its release week statistics were even higher. The franchise’s newest role-playing game immediately captivated gamers worldwide upon its release. Then why not? It features a multitude of races and abilities for players to select, as well as content that other role-playing games simply do not provide.

Above all else, it has a highlight object function! It may appear to be a trivial gameplay mechanic, but it will become indispensable to your progress. If you have, for whatever reason, neglected the tutorial or have returned to the massive game after an extended absence, this is a reminder.

Highlighting objects in Baldur’s Gate 3

To highlight a single or multiple objects in Baldur’s Gate 3, simply press the Left-Alt key on your keyboard.

As soon as you do so, every item on the screen that can be interacted with will abruptly glow yellow to indicate its interactivity.

This can include anything from switches to characters to items that can be picked up. It will make your existence in Baldur’s Gate 3 infinitely simpler.

BG3’s console release is expected to appear in the near future. Once this occurs, we will be careful to update this guide with the equivalent controller input method.
