Mamata Banerjee, the chief of Trinamool Congress, has voiced serious allegations against the Election Commission. Speaking at a rally in Nanoor, Birbhum, she claimed that newly appointed EC officials were tasked with rejecting nominations of her party candidates and advised caution during the nomination process.
Banerjee did not hold back on her criticism of the BJP, accusing the party of manipulating central agencies for its political advantage as West Bengal approaches its assembly elections. She urged women, in particular, to avoid voting for the BJP, labeling the party as anti-women.
The West Bengal Chief Minister also welcomed the Supreme Court’s recent observations on the voter list discrepancies. She cautioned constituents about sharing bank details, highlighting alleged ploys by the BJP to manipulate voters financially before the elections.
