The life of an auto driver is tough as they have to work from morning to evening and yet also it is difficult for them to meet the ends. But this auto diver from Bengaluru stands out by all as he owns a triplex villa worth Rs 1.6 crore in Whitefield.

The auto driver has now come into the radar of the Income Tax Department as they smell something wrong in the way he has risen to richness. The villa of the auto driver was raided by the IT department.

As per the sources, the officials seized jewelry worth Rs 7.9 crores, property document and crores of rupees in cash at his villa in the community of Jetty Dwarakanamayi in Bengaluru on April 16.

Subramani’s villa

To the question arising of what made the auto driver so rich, the main claims that a 72-year-old American woman came as a godsend and gave him a charity.

As per a report, the locals said “He came to us driving his auto with the American woman in 2013, seeking a villa on rent. We gave it for a monthly rent of Rs 30,000. In 2015, he showed interest to buy it. He paid Rs 1.6 crore in 16 cheques, each of Rs 10 lakh.”

The auto driver Subramani stopped driving his auto as days went by. As per sources, he used to play cricket day and night, drink with his friends.

Subramani says “She was working in GE company in Whitefield and used to commute in my auto. She offered me help to get my children a good education. As she lent me an interest-free loan, I purchased the villa.”

He also added the owner’s political angle to it and said “Some villa owners, including me, have civil disputes against the owners. They are politically connected; they are using it to harass me.”

Sources also reveal that Subramani had photographed himself with the BJP MLA Aarvind Limbavali during an event in his villa and there are speculations that there is a close link between the two.

However, the BJP MLA dismissed the speculation and clarified by saying “I had taken part in the Rajyotsava celebrations at the gated community as the area belongs to my constituency. Somebody might have taken the photo during the event,”
