In a Bizarre incident reported from Bengaluru, a youth who was in an inebriated state tried to get close to an elephant in order to kiss it has landed in the hospital.
The incident happened 50 km from Bengaluru near Malur when the officials from forest and police departments were trying to drive a herd of sic elephants back into the forest.
On Wednesday, the elephants were moving towards Kateri and Araleri village. A lot of people were gathered outside the village to take photos of the elephants and some even tried to take selfies of them. The animals were becoming restless seeing the crowd and once they even charged towards the people.
The forest department sources revealed that they saw the youth, Raju, bleeding in the face. As he was not even in a condition to speak he had to be shifted to the hospital immediately. They also said that he must have rammed a tree while fleeing the spot.
However, the villagers were buzzing that Raju was trying to move closer to the elephants and as per reports, minutes before the incident, he also boasted to his friends about imitating a Kannada film hero who had kissed an elephant on the silver screen.
Meanwhile, a forest official said that despite they have been trying to drive back the animals into the forest, the Jumbos have been returning back. She also said that the authorities have taken a step to aware the villagers against going near to the animals or trying to disturb them.
