In a recent incident in Bengaluru, a 44-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting his 14-year-old daughter over a year. Rajagopalnagar police arrested the man on Wednesday, who has been identified as Ramesh.
According to police, the accused used to sexually assault his daughter under the influence of alcohol and when his wife was away at work. He even used to threaten her with death if she opened up about the incident with anyone. Further blackmailing her he said that her mother will commit suicide if she will get to know about the incident. The neighbours suspected that something was wrong and they even alerted the mother but when questioned, the victim denied it out of fear.

Later, the girl revealed about the indecent act of his father to her mother, following which she questioned her husband in front of his relatives.
Ramesh, however, denied the accusations. Later relatives took the girl to a temple and swore on God. The victim when asserted that she was being sexually harassed by her father, the mother filed a complaint at the police station.
However, police have registered the case under Pocso Act and investigations are underway
