Salman Khan starrer Bharat was released yesterday on the festival of Eid. The film on an opening day has recorded smashing numbers at the box office.
The period drama helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar as created history by collecting a hefty amount of Rs 42.30 crore on its first day. The film has beaten the record of Salman’s 2015 release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (Rs 40.35 crore). It has emerged as the biggest opener of his career.
It seems that the film is unstoppable at the box office as it is racing faster towards the Rs 100 crore mark, on the second day, the film has collected Rs 31 crore thereby taking the total to Rs 73.30 crore

Bharat received positive and rave reviews from film critics across the country. The word of mouth, too, is favorable, which encouraged on-spot bookings and helped it stay strong throughout the day.
The movie stars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles. It also features Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff, Disha Patani and Tabu in important roles, among others. The film is an official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean drama Ode To My Father.
The film is all set to witness more growth on the coming weekend.
