Bigg Boss Malayalam 3 contestant Bhagyalakshmi: All about dubbing artist who has worked in more than 2000 films

Bhagyalakshmi started dubbing in 1972 at the age of 10. Her first noted movie was Aparadhi in 1977 and became popular by the film Kolilakam (dubbed for Sumalatha).  She has also acted in around 20 Malayalam movies.

Dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi is expected to be one of the popular contestants in Bigg Boss Malayalam 3. 58-year-old Bhagyalakshmi has dubbed for more than 2000 films during her time in Malayalam cinema.  

Bhagyalakshmi started dubbing in 1972 at the age of 10. Her first noted movie was Aparadhi in 1977 and became popular by the film Kolilakam (dubbed for Sumalatha).  She has also acted in around 20 Malayalam movies with Manassu (1973) her debut movie (child artist). Bhagyalakshmi mostly dubbed for actress Shobana. Recently she was seen playing a meaty role in the movie ‘Madhuram Jeevitham’. 

Bhagyalakshmi published her autobiography titled Swarabhedangal, which received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Biography and Autobiography. She has the record of winning the Kerala State Film Award the maximum number of times after dubbing artist Sreeja Ravi.

Bhagyalakshmi assaulted the vlogger 

On 26 September 2020, Bhagyalakshmi came into headlines after she with two other self-proclaimed activists Diya Sana and Sreelakshmi Arakkal inked and manhandled a YouTube vlogger named Vijay P. Nair at his residence at Thiruvananthapuram. They alleged that one of his videos was a personal insult to her even though her name was not explicitly mentioned. She was charged with non-bailable offences for this assault.
