Bihar Election 2025 Phase 2 details: Bihar is ready for the second and last phase of the Assembly elections, which will take place on Tuesday. Officials said that more than 4 lakh security personnel have been deployed across the state to make sure voting happens peacefully. Polling will be held at 45,399 polling stations, and out of these, 40,073 are located in rural areas. This round will decide the fate of 1,302 candidates who are contesting from 122 Assembly constituencies.
The voting will begin at 7 am and continue till 5 pm. Around 3.70 crore people are eligible to vote in this phase. Many important leaders from the Nitish Kumar government are also in the race.
In the first phase of the election, polling was held in 121 Assembly constituencies on November 6. The Election Commission said it has made all arrangements for smooth polling and has also set up special facilities to help senior citizens and differently-abled voters.
Candidates and Political Battle
This phase will see several prominent faces trying to keep their seats. Bijendra Prasad Yadav, a senior JD(U) leader and the most experienced member of the Bihar cabinet, is contesting from Supaul again. He is aiming to win for the eighth time. Another senior BJP leader, Prem Kumar, is fighting from Gaya Town. He has already won the seat seven times in a row since 1990 and is looking for another victory.
Other ministers in the contest include BJP’s Renu Devi from Bettiah and Neeraj Kumar Singh ‘Bablu’ from Chhatapur. JD(U) leaders Leshi Singh from Dhamdaha, Sheela Mandal from Phulparas and Zama Khan from Chainpur are also competing. Former deputy chief minister and senior BJP leader Tarkishore Prasad is contesting again from Katihar, where he hopes to win for the fifth time in a row.

Voter Details
In this second phase, votes will be cast at 45,399 polling stations across 122 seats. More than half of the total voters, around 2.28 crore people, are between the ages of 30 and 60 years. About 7.69 lakh voters are young, in the 18-19 age group, and there are 1.75 crore women voters.
Past Results
During the last Assembly elections in 2020, the BJP had won 42 of these 122 seats, while the RJD got 33 seats. The JD(U) secured 20 seats, the Congress won 11, and the Left parties managed to get 5 seats. This time, the political fight is expected to be tough again between the ruling alliance and the opposition parties.
