After K Kasturirangan committee on the New Education Policy prepared a draft of the report, forwarded a suggestion of making Hindi mandatory till Class 8, many people on Twitter were seen fumed.
BJD MP Tathagata Satpathy slammed the Committee, he tweeted, “Don’t wish to use bad language but let my intent be extremely clear. Want to shove this policy up their backsides, scumbags whosoever drafted this ridiculous ‘policy’! These are true anti nationals. They want to destroy India. Treat all languages equally.”

If Hindi is mandatory/compulsory up to class 8 under the proposed new education policy is not good for the nation, which has composite culture and different linguistic backgrounds .. https://t.co/2RKwRzAgoB

HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar later clarified in a tweet that “report has not recommended making any language compulsory.”
The Committee on New Education Policy in its draft report has not recommended making any language compulsory. This clarification is necessitated in the wake of mischievous and misleading report in a section of the media.@narendramodi @PMOIndia
