Bhartiya Janata Party MP from Saran, Rajiv Pratap Rudy seems to be in a worrisome situation in the context of upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019. His candidature for upcoming polls tends to be in danger as BJP may field Janardan Singh Sigriwal from Saran.
Presently, Janardan Singh is the sitting MP in Lok Sabha representing the Maharajganj seat but JDU has claimed to opt that seat. In this case, there are high chances of Rudy to fall out from the race of contesting polls from Saran.
According to anonymous sources, the meeting between Prashant Kishore and Rajiv Pratap Rudy probably took place in a hotel where they may discuss Maharajganj Lok Sabha seat. Although from both the sides, there was no confirmation and reaction.
Rudy got elected to 16th Lok Sabha in 2014 by defeating former Bihar CM Rabri Devi. He headed the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship but in 2017 he had to resign from the ministry as per the party’s decision. Since then he remained aloof from major events of both the government and party.
The sudden meeting between Rudy and JDU vice president is giving us signals of unexpected shift & drift in Bihar’s politics for upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
