Jaipur: The Election Commission (EC) on Thursday postponed elections in Ramgarh Assembly constituency under Alwar district of Rajasthan following the death of Lakshman Singh, a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate.

Singh died of heart attack in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to Election Commission officials, the state shall go to polls for 199 seats out of the total 200 seats on December 7. The date for election in Ramgarh will be declared later, said the official.
