The Cannes Film Festival has been postponed amidst the Coromnavirus outbreak. The event was planned to run by May 12-23 but the organizers said that due to the outbreak and for the safety for everyone the decision has been taken to postpone the event.

“Several options are considered in order to preserve its running, the main one being a simple postponement,” the organizers’ statement said. That could be a shift to late June or the beginning of July, it added.
