CCTV Video From Guna:This CCTV footage from Guna, Madhya Pradesh is the kind of thing that makes your stomach drop. One random guy in broad daylight; broad daylight, mind you is trying to yank a gold earring off a 9-year-old schoolkid. In the footage, the assailant deceptively tells the boy, “Dekho, wo keeda hai” (“Look, there’s an insect”), using this cunning diversion to get close enough to tug at the child’s ear and try ripping off his gold earring.
CCTV Video From Guna
For a split second, the kid’s just standing there, looking all puzzled. Then it clicks something’s way off. This little guy doesn’t just freeze up. Even though he’s hurting and totally caught off guard, he fights back. Pushes the guy away and starts yelling. You can hear his cries in the video, and it’ll hit you right in the feels. But hats off to him, he actually manages to get free before the creep can snatch the earring. He’s shaken, obviously, but at least he’s not seriously hurt.
Now, the internet did what it does, blew up. People are furious, and not just at the thief. People are calling out everyone in the video for just standing around, letting this go down like it’s business as usual. Whole debate’s fired up about how safe kids actually are, especially near schools or just, you know, existing outside.

Police Action
Police in Guna are on it, apparently. They’re tracking down the guy, or so they say. Locals want more patrols, more eyes on the street. Makes sense because who wants to send their kid out wondering if some stranger’s going to pull a stunt like this?
Honestly, it’s not just about one kid or one nasty dude. It’s about how vulnerable kids are, period. All it takes is a few words, a dumb little trick and suddenly things get dangerous fast. Makes you realize how important it is to teach kids to trust their gut, speak up, fight back if they have to. And, yeah, maybe for the rest of us to actually pay attention and step in when stuff gets weird.
This should be a wake-up call for everyone else. Looking out for kids isn’t just a parent thing or a teacher thing. It’s everyone’s job.
