Chandrababu Naidu Vows to Boost Social Security Pension

Chandrababu Naidu Vows to Boost Social Security Pension: Several days after announcing that people from the Backward Classes (BCs) would receive a monthly pension of Rs 4,000, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu promised on Monday to increase social security pensions for all those satisfying age criteria in different categories to Rs 4,000 from Rs 3,000, once the tripartite alliance is in power.

The TDP-BJP-Jana Sena alliance, which is on a two-day visit to Kuppam in Chittoor district, is delivering 4,000 monthly pensions to beneficiaries.

Naidu thanked the voters of Kuppam for electing him as their MLA for seven consecutive years, as well as the TDP since its inception for electing him. In order to launch his Statewide campaign, Naidu wanted the voters of Kuppam to elect him with a majority of not less than one lakh votes, in order to prevent the YSRC candidate from getting his security deposit back.

KRJ Bharat has been chosen to contest the Kuppam seat by the YSRC.

Naidu expressed confidence that the NDA would be back in power at the Centre with more than 400 Lok Sabha seats in the country and that the party would also win more than 160 Assembly seats and 24 or more Lok Sabha seats in the State.

As YSRC leaders exploited the online system for large-scale irregularities, Naidu expressed serious concerns that anyone’s property was not safe in the State under its rule.

After returning to power, the TDP chief promised to develop Kuppam with a special action plan immediately after apologizing for the lack of progress in the last five years.

The former chief minister said he chose Kuppam because he believed he had a calling to serve the poor and downtrodden.

Naidu accuses Jagan of encouraging granite mafia in Kuppam

He reminded the people of the harassment he endured on his way to Kuppam several times, saying even illegal cases were brought against him.

A former chief minister stated, “He warned the anti-social elements in Kuppam that he would take action against them if they obstructed free and fair elections.”.

Naidu questioned the populace about whether they had received the Handri-Neeva water that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had promised.

“As the chief minister I have completed 90 per cent of the Handri-Neeva project works and also supplied water for Pulivendula. But the present Chief Minister could not complete the remaining 10 per cent of the works in the past five years,” he said. Assuring the gathering that soon after coming to power the project would be completed, he said that Jagan had done great injustice to Kuppam by encouraging granite mafia and engineering violent attacks on innocent people. Maintaining that the YSRC leaders have given a call to ‘Why not Kuppam’, Naidu said that they can never win the Kuppam seat. “I am now giving a call, why not Pulivendula? Why should the electorate cast their votes for Jagan? Is it for killing his paternal uncle or turning the State into a land of violence,” Naidu asked.

He claimed that the suicide of a handloom worker’s family in Vontimitta hurt him and pointed out that the town’s land value had increased since he developed the area when he was chief minister.

It has led to the entire family killing themselves in a suicide pact after YSRC leaders attempted to illegally occupy the land of this handloom worker. As in Visakhapatnam, YSRC leaders threatened a landowner with guns to sign the records transferring his land, while Sunitha’s land in Tirupati was illegally occupied as well, he said.

As Naidu cited several such instances in different parts of the State, he urged Muslims not to rely on YSRC propaganda. His recollection is that the TDP implemented the four percent reservation for Muslims and made Urdu the second official language.
