Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel led Congress government has finalised the list of 12 ministers to be inducted in the cabinet. The swearing-in ceremony is likely to happen on Christmas Day and Charandas Mahant who was in the CM race now will be the Speaker said a source close to the party.

CM Baghel said, “We have taken every essential factor into consideration before finalising the names (of the cabinet ministers).”

He further added that the list will be out in public only on oath-taking day. The final list got the approval of Congress National President Rahul Gandhi. CM Baghel, senior leader TS Singhdeo, Tamardhwaj Sahu and state Congress in charge PL Punia were present in the meeting when the approval was made.

Baghel has also mentioned that the party has sought time from the Governor Anandiben Patel for the swearing-in ceremony.

Four-time MLA Mohammad Akbar, former minister and OBC heavyweight Dhanendra Sahu, senior leader and former Leader of Opposition Ravindra Choubey, former minister Satyanaryan Sharma, among others are key contenders for the Cabinet berths.

List of Probable Cabinet Ministers: Charandas Mahant, Mohammad Akbar, Dhanendra Sahu, Ravindra Choubey, Satyanarayan Sharma, Amitesh Shukla, Arun Vohra (Son of Motilal Vohra), Anila Bhedia, Amarjeet Bhagat, Mohan Markram, Rampukar Singh Thakur, Kawasi lKahma, and Prem Sai Singh Tekam.
