Chhattisgarh: Police arrests Congress leader ahead of PM Modi program

Chhattisgarh police have arrested Congress leaders and workers, who were on their way to hold a protest demonstration in PM Modi scheduled a public meeting today. Congress state general secretary and former president Uttam Vasudev are also among the people being arrested along with the workers.

Congress has planned to protest against the brutal police violence against its leaders earlier this week. In the meanwhile, police started arresting the leaders. Former Congress president Uttam and state general secretary were arrested from their native place when they were on their way to PM’s rally venue.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold a public rally in Chhattisgarh today. Congress workers have given a statewide protest call against Modi’s rally happening today. Congress workers are all geared up in the black dress to mark their protest against police lathi charge on its workers and leaders.
