BJP MP from Chhattisgarh, Bansilal Mahto, was caught on camera making controverisal comments on women that the state’s girls are becoming ‘Tana-Tan’.

The 77-year-old BJP MP was addressing a crowd at a wrestling competition function as part of the Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) celebration when he was caught making remarks on women. He represents Korba seat in the Lok Sabha.

“State sports minister Bhaiyalal Rajwade often tells me that there is no need for Mumbai and Kolkata girls. Girls of Korba and Chhattisgarh are becoming ‘Tana-Tan’,” Mahto said.

Legislator and Janata Congress Chhattisgarh leader, Amit Jogi, was also present in the function. He said that he disapproves such comments. “It’s very unfortunate on the part of a veteran MP to make such unsavory remarks”, he added.
