A jilted lover made a life-threatening attack on the woman he had one-sided love for, using a sickle in Chhattisgarh’s Korba after the former was jailed for secretly recording videos of the woman and making them go viral.
The blood-soaked woman has been admitted to the district hospital where she is undergoing treatment. Her condition is said to be out of danger.
The police have registered a case against the accused.
According to media reports, the incident is from the CSEB area, where it took place when the woman was alone at home on Friday morning. A man named Indrapal Tonde reached the woman’s house and after an argument between the two erupted, he attacked the woman with a sickle several times in the woman’s face, arms and legs.
The woman was screaming loudly in pain after which people in the vicinity reached the spot, where they caught the accused. They later handed the man to the police.
The woman has lived in a slum colony in the CSEB outpost area for a few months. Indrapal Tonde had a one-sided love for the woman. A few days ago, he secretly made a video of the woman, which he made go viral.
The woman then complained about it on 4 October 2019 in the nearby police station. On the woman’s report, the police had registered a case against Inderpal. Accused Indrapal was arrested and sent to jail. 4-5 days ago, Indrapal was released from prison. Following which the attack was carried out.
Police have arrested the accused after which he was produced in court. According to Patrika report, he was sent to jail on the orders of the magistrate. The injured woman’s statement is yet to be recorded as she is currently not in the state.
