Seems like there is no stopping for Pyaar Ka Panchanama fame actor Kartik Aaryan. The actor is on the roll and has bagged films like Pati, Patni Aur Woh remake and Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2. After these sequels, the handsome actor has now been roped for the sequel to 2007 horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa produced by Bhushan Kumar.
A source has confirmed the news to a media portal saying “While the makers have locked the idea, the script is still to be finalized. But the idea was shared with Kartik who liked it and has agreed to take the franchise forward with the story set in a metropolis.”
The source also added that “The director will be locked in a few days, following which they will decide on the leading lady and the rest of the cast. Bhushan always wanted to continue with Bhool Bhulaiyaa and is invested in the film. He expects to start filming by the end of the year.”
Apart from the sequel of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, the producer Bhushan is remaking some of the classics of the past. The production house is remaking 1978 drama Pati, Patni Aur Who that stars Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday and Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1975 Chupke Chupke for which Rajkummar Rao will essay Dharmendra’s role.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) which starred Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiny Ahuja was a remake of the Malayalam horror film Manichitrathazu.
