There was much drama on Sunday following rumours that Congress leaders are unfollowing party vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Twitter.

As the news spread, some leaders of the party received numerous phone calls. Party leader, Kapil Sibal, dismissed the reports and called them untrue. However, an associate said the staff operating the account had some technical issues and sought a remedy of the situation immediately.

On Sunday evening, party leaders, Kapil Sibal and P Chidambaram’s Twitter account were found to unfollowing Rahul Gandhi on Twitter. However, the latter was found following `Office of RG’ late in the evening. It was not clear whether the account was unfollowed and then added again or whether it was a fresh addition.

A similar rumour about Congress MP Jairam Ramesh was dismissed by his aide.
