The Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday announced the proposal of the appointment of the functionaries as National Executive Members, National Coordinator and National Co-Coordinators of social media department.
The National Executive Committee will be headed by Dr Vishesh and Manish Khanduri, the son of Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister BC Khanduri.
Dr Vishesh hails from Rajasthan, he is said to be instrumental in building Social Media outreach programmes for the party ahead of 2015 Lok Sabha elections, he is a close aide of Rajya Sabha member Deepender Hooda.
Manish Khanduri who has been appointed to the National Executive Committee along with Dr Vishesh, had joined the Congress last in March 2019 and is a former BJP leader who is the son of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri. A former journalist, Khanduri had joined social media giant Facebook in mid 2018 and served as its head of news partnerships for India.
Khanduri thanked members of the party for the new responsibility.

Dr Vipin Yadav has been appointed as National Coordinator of Congress’ Social Media department, who will replace Zoheb Shaikh. Yadav hails from Rajasthan, he was Rajasthan Congress spokesperson.
Apart from these, the grand old party has also appointed 11 Co-coordinators, which are as follows:
