Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Yogi Adityanath on Friday took a dig at Congress vice-president, Rahul Gandhi saying that whenever he campaigns for his candidates, his party loses.
“If Rahul Gandhi is campaigning, it seals a loss for the Congress,” said Adityanath. He was addressing a rally in Gujarat’s Valsad.
“Amit Shah visits Gujarat, and Rahul Gandhi runs to Italy. Doesn’t he feel the need to remember or visit Gujarat then?” he asked.
UP CM also targeted Gandhi’s recent Amethi visit saying the Congress failed to fetch any development there. “Even after ruling there for 14 years, Rahul Gandhi did not facilitate the building of a collectorate in Amethi,” he said.
Just ahead of the assembly polls in Gujarat later this year or early next year, the war of words between the two parties are on a rise.
