Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday was admitted to a hospital in Delhi. However, it is yet to be clear whether she has been admitted for some routine check-ups or due to acute illness.
This is the second time that the Congress chief has been admitted to the hospital in just three months. Lately, the 69-year-old was admitted to hospital with fever, dehydration and a shoulder injury, following a road show in Varanasi.
The leader had to quit the road show halfway because of illness. She also underwent surgery on her left shoulder on August 3.
Reportedly, Sonia returned to Delhi last week after a brief vacation near Shimla. As per the reports, Sonia, with her daughter Priyanka Vadra and her children were on holiday at the Wildflower Hall, an Oberoi Group luxury resort, situated 15 km uphill from Shimla. They then visited Charabra where Priyanka’s cottage is being constructed.
