The Congress Party, gearing up for the Haryana Assembly polls, has unveiled seven major guarantees, including a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) and a comprehensive caste survey, if elected to power.
The announcement was made in the presence of key figures like Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Haryana Congress chief Udai Bhan, and former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Other notable attendees included AICC senior observers Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken, and Partap Singh Bajwa.
Additional guarantees cover women empowerment initiatives, strengthened social security measures, improved prospects for youth, and enhanced welfare for families and the impoverished. Among the specific promises are gas cylinders at Rs 500, monthly Rs 2,000 for women aged 18-60, Rs 6,000 monthly pensions for the elderly and disabled, 300 units of free electricity, and free medical treatments up to Rs 25 lakh. Voting for the 90-member assembly is scheduled for October 5, with results expected on October 8.
