Among all the new cases reported, Bhojpur has recorded the highest number of cases at 7, followed by Banka, Patna and Siwan with four cases each.
Muzaffarpur has reported three cases and Madhubani one. With an increase of 3,525 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, India’s tally of positive coronavirus cases has risen to 74,281, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday.
As the migrants are getting back to their homes on Special Shramik Trains, the number of coronavirus positive cases in the state has seen a rise too. The total number of COVID-19 cases surge to 879 and the death toll stands at 6. 365 patients have been recovered and 336 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
37 out of 38 districts of Bihar are infected by COVID-19. 26 in Madhubani, 115 in Munger,75 in Patna, 59 in Rohtas, 56 in Baxar, 50 in Nalanda, 35 in Begusarai, 33 in Siwan, 32 in Kaimur, 26 in Madhubani, 25 in Bhagalpur, 20 in Bhojpur, 20 in Gopalganj, 15 in Aurangabad, 14 in Darbhanga, 14 in North Champaran and 11 in West Champaran, 16 in Khagadia, 11 in Nawada, Katihar and Arwal respectively,10 in Saharsha, 9 in Kishanganj, Muzaffarpur and Madhepura respectively, 8 in Saran, Banka, Gaya, and Samastipur respectively, 7 in Shekhpura and Sitamarhi respectively, 5 in Jahanabad, 4 in Lakhisarai, Araria and Vaishali respectively, 3 in Shivhar, Purniya, and Supaul respectively. These districts are affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Bihar government has decided to distribute face masks and soaps to all families in the rural areas, for which Rs 160 crore have been allocated. "We have decided to provide four masks and one soap each to all families in the rural areas, free of charge. The state government will spend Rs 160 Crore for this purpose. We are also strengthening the facilities at quarantine centres," Bihar's Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told ANI.

The Delhi government will bear the expenses for sending migrant workers from Bihar in three special trains back to their State on Wednesday, the Delhi government spokesperson said.
“For all the three trains, the Delhi government will be paying as the Bihar government has not yet responded to us on the matter of payment. All the three trains left by 6 p.m. and each of them was carrying around 1,100-1,200 workers,” the spokesperson said.
Three more special trains ferrying around 3,500 stranded migrant workers left the Capital on Wednesday for Bihar’s Bhagalpur, Darbhanga and Barauni districts from the Old Delhi Railway Station.
