Covid-19 cases in Bihar live updates: Bihar confirmed 563 coronavirus positive patients. The death toll stands at 5. Within three days, recovery rate of coronavirus in Bihar reached 45%. Earlier, it was 25%. 112 COVID-19 patients were recovered in last three days.
Coronavirus screening has been completed successfully in 20 districts of Bihar. Principal Secretary, Health department Sanjay Kumar took on Twitter to give this information.
As per the order issued by the union government on April 30, Bihar had five red zones including Patna, Rohtas, Munger, Gaya, and Buxar while 20 districts had been put in orange zones and rest 13 in green zones. But now there are likely more districts would be classified in red zones while resting in orange zones in the state.
102 in Munger, 52 in Rohtas, 45 at Buxar, 36 in Nalanda, 46 in Patna, 32 in Siwan, 32 in Kaimur, 18 in Gopalganj, 25 in Madhubani and 18 COVID-19 positive patients in Bhojpur have been identified. Out of 38, 32 districts are affected by coronavirus pandemic.
Moreover, 362 doctors in Bihar have been served with a show-cause notice for not reporting to work without prior notice amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This had led the Nitish Kumar-led government in the state to enforce another strict order- no leaves, apart from maternity leaves, can be availed by doctors, healthcare workers, and paramedic staff till the end of May.
All the doctors are from government hospitals which have been working extensively to treat COVID-19 patients. From over 37 districts in the state between March 31 to April 12 the doctors were absent from duty, the state health ministry said in a press release.

On May 8, Special Shramik Train carrying a batch of 1251 students studying in Kota, Rajasthan, reached Saharsa Junction. All these students are residents of Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura district of Bihar.
