India’s Covid-19 tally crosses 2.5 lakh-mark with biggest one-day spike of 9,983 cases in last 24 hours, as per the latest data from state governments. As many as 1,24,095 coronavirus patients have been cured and discharged so far with 1,25,381 active cases.
Maharashtra has recorded a tally of 88,528, which is more than China’s. In Mumbai alone, there are over 50,000 cases of Covid-19.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has gone into isolation on the advice of doctors. He was suffering from fever and cough. The CM is likely to be tested for coronavirus today.
The global tally of coronavirus cases is 7,189,861, and 408,240 people have died from the disease so far.

Goa tourism director on Tuesday said, "Centre has permitted hotels to open but here all hotels which are ready to comply with guidelines, have to apply to Department of Tourism and after we see they're complying to all guidelines we'll permit them. They've to give declaration for the same."
"We've opened the website and received almost 30 applications from hotels. We will scrutinise them and after government takes a call on it, we will allow them to open hotels depending on how they are complying with these guidelines," he added.

A Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) official has succumbed to Covid-19, taking the total number of deaths in the paramilitary force to five, officials said today, PTI reported. This is the 13th death reported among the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
