Due to coronavirus pandemic, the nation has been put under 21-day lockdown and on April 14 the lockdown is going to take an end. There are several talks doing rounds about the Indian railways and when are these services going to start.

Here are all the answers:

Senior officials of the railway say that a decision has yet to be taken on how long the trains will run. Railway has not received any indication of running the train even from the Central Government. But from the day the train starts running, a plan has been made for that. Under this plan, a big reason is also being given for running the train. But for the time being, the wheels of trains will remain stagnant in view of the threat of lockdown and coronavirus.

The Indian Railways are not rushing for quick decisions and are taking their time to come to the conclusion.

Ministry of Railways plans that thermal screening of passengers must be done at railway stations. The train will not stop at the station coming under the Corona hotspot. Along with this, the health of the passengers will be checked by using the Arogya Setu app. If a passenger is not found healthy, he will not be allowed to travel.

In addition, traveling by wearing a mask can be necessary.

Proper arrangements will have to be made for the safety of the passengers as well as the railway front line staff like TTE, RPF, booking staff, pantry staff, waiters, etc. Railways will have to make a large number of PPE, sanitizers and other rescue arrangements for their staff. Apart from this, a full system of checks will be made for the passengers from the stations from which trains will be run. Suddenly, when a person worsens, he will have to make necessary arrangements for his treatment.

Also, special trains will be run initially and waiting tickets will not be given to avoid overcrowding of trains.

Only those who have valid tickets will be given entry to the station. It is also being considered that whenever there is an order to run trains, do not put general coaches in the beginning or they should be counted among them. There are many other such proposals on which the railway is constantly churning.
