Kasaragod: Two NRIs of Kasargod district are going to face punitive action and that will include cancellation of their passports for violating coronavirus quarantine orders. District administration has decided to take action against them after it was found that they violated instructions for self-isolation and wandered outside creating chances for the spread of the virus.

The District collector Dr. D Sajith Babu said that repeated requests were made to them before taking strict action against them but because of their irresponsible behavior, the virus has been spread to other people.

He further added to it that they have taken the decision to cancel their passports and never allow them to fly to gulf countries. If anyone is found violating instructions, similar actions will be taken, he added.

“99.9 percent of people are obeying orders. But a small percentage of people are adamant about not obeying government instructions. Such people will be dealt with aptly,” he further said.
