Sonipat: A 25-year-old COVID-19 suspect from Haryana came out with pictures and videos that showed the state of a quarantine ward in Civil Hospital, Sonipat. It is reported that the ward has no soap, sanitizer and is open for anyone to walk in. “Delhi’s Isolation wards are better equipped and in a good state”, said Amar Gaur, the corona suspect.

The suspect has a travel history to 7 European countries including Germany and came back to India on the 14th of March.

Amar had a little fever and breathing difficulties and hence went to the emergency ward where they referred him to the testing center (B.P.S. Govt Medical College) but called the ambulance back midway and asked him to come back the next morning without giving any explanation. Amar was taken into quarantine the next day.

The pictures show the state of the isolation ward of Civil Hospital, Sonipat, Haryana. From damp walls to broken doors and lack of basic hygiene can be seen in the pictures.

This corona suspect has been complaining of mosquitoes, lizards, rats and unhygienic conditions in the Isolation ward. He put up a tweet with pictures in which he tagged the chief minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal, along with Union Minister for Health, Dr. Harsh Vardhan but got no response to this extremely sensitive issue.

His tweet reads that the response of helpline numbers is frustrating and he further added to it that the medical officers are adamant on not conducting the COVID-19 tests.
