Covid-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh live updates: With 29 more tested positive for coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the state has gone up to 2171. 40 COVID-19 deaths have taken place in the state, while as many as 477 patients have been discharged.
Twenty-nine more cases were reported from Agra on Thursday morning, taking the total number of coronavirus patients in the district to 455. So far, 14 people have died due to the deadly virus in the district while 74 patients have recovered.
Meanwhile, Varanasi Municipal Corporation has imposed a complete lockdown till May 3. Six new cases were reported from the district today morning. District Magistrate (DM) Kaushal Raj Sharma confirmed the report and said a policeman appointed at Municipal Corporation police station is among the six persons tested positive for coronavirus.
All of them have been admitted to the isolation ward of Deendayal hospital after their report from IMS BHU came positive. With this, the number of infected people has jumped to 58.
A 70-year-old coronavirus patient has died in Moradabad Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU). She was tested positive late night on Wednesday. With this, the death count because of coronavirus rose to 7.
