COVID-19: List of all the countries affected by the coronavirus pandemic

Coronavirus or COVID-19 was first originated in Wuhan, China which was declared a pandemic by World Health Organisation (WHO) worldwide. To control the pandemic, most parts of the world are under complete lockdown.

As per the World Health World Health Organization (WHO), COVID-19 has so far infected 2,710,000 people and has claimed 191,000 lives globally. 213 countries or territories or areas have been affected so far by the deadly virus.

To contain the spread of the highly contagious virus, the Prime Minister of India announced a nationwide lockdown for a period of 21 days which has now been extended to May 3. However, the essential services will be provided to the citizens. According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, COVID-19 has 23,077 active cases and has claimed 718 lives (at the time of writing this article).

The Government of India has taken several measures to curb the novel virus starting from ‘Janta Curfew’ to a complete lockdown for 21 days in the entire country.
