As the nation has been kept under the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, the wine shops have been shut too but a case came into highlight from Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur where a BJP leader’s son was caught red-handed while selling liquor illegally from his shop in Punjabi Market. The police have now arrested the son of BJP leader.

It is reportedly said that in front of the shop, langar was being prepared but when police checked it, they found out that at the backside of the shop, the illegal selling of liquor was taking place.

The BJP leader Manish Sethi resides in the Punjabi market. The localities reported that illegal activity was taking place at his house for a long time.

The neighbors filed a complaint to the police regarding the illegal activity and the excise department was on alert as soon as they got to know about the matter of the sale of illicit liquor.

Police thus arrested the son of BJP leader Manik Sethi from the spot. It was also reportedly said that police were pulling back their hands to take action against the BJP leader but when the whole locality came in front to report about it, the case was filed late at night.
