A man from Thrissur testing positive of Coronavirus had come in contact with over 1000 people. At present, a total of more than 100 persons, including two panchayat members, were kept under observation in Thrissur.

The Coronavirus positive patient had visited multiple public spaces like a shopping mall and cinema theatre.

The route map of the places where he travelled will be released by 11 in the morning on Friday in order to quarantine the spread of COVID-19.

The patient has been admitted to the district hospital. He had travelled in the same flight in which the Ranni-based family who came from Italy and later tested positive for the Coronavirus travelled.

The man got traced only after the guests from Italy were diagnosed positive with the disease.

The person at first denied having travelled in the flight. But later, the health department forcefully admitted him in the hospital.

The Kerala government had earlier released route maps of places visited by two coronavirus patients in Kottayam’s Chengalam. The flowchart included all the places he had visited from 29 February to 8 March.

The total numbers of confirmed cases in the state rose to 16 after two additional persons were found to be infected on Thursday, said Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
