From the last few weeks, we came across a lot of bad news. First Irrfan Khan then, Rishi Kapoor died battling cancer. And now, the entertainment industry has lost its third artist in the last 12 days as Shafiq Ansari. The noted actor and screenwriter, has passed away.
Crime Patrol actor breathed his last on Sunday, May 10, 2020. The actor was battling cancer for some time and finally breathed last on Sunday morning.
Shafiq Ansari, not only battled cancer during his last days but also battled a major financial crunch. While going through the cancer treatment, Ansari was not able to work in his projects, which left him jobless.
10 times Irrfan Khan proved he is master of versatility
As per the sources, the actor’s relatives were collecting money through crowdfunding which was used for his treatment. A Facebook page was created by his name to raise the fund.
Shafique Ansari was active in the Hindi cinema industry since 1974. He began his career as an assistant director and writer. Apart from starring in small roles in several films, he was one of the screenwriters for Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer Baghban (2003).
He is survived with his wife and three daughters.
