Dehradun gold loot mastermind arrested in Bihar’s Vaishali

In Bihar’s Vaishali district on Wednesday, police arrested notorious criminal Prince Kumar, who headed the gang responsible for looting gold jewellery worth Rs 20 crore from Dehradun last month.

“We have arrested Prince Kumar from Dilawarpur Gowardhan village under Vidupur police station on Wednesday. According to Uttarakhand Police, he was the leader of the gang that looted gold ornaments worth Rs 20 crore from a jewellery show room in Dehradun on November 9. The Uttarakhand Police have announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head. We have informed the Uttarakhand Police about his arrest,” said SP, Vaishali, Ravi Ranjan Kumar.

In dry Bihar, liquor worth Rs 50 lakh has been seized in Gopalganj

On November 9, Prince Kumar, along with his aides Vishal Kumar, Amit Kumar, and Vikram Kushwaha, targeted a jewellery shop in Dehradun.

On November 16, with the aid of the Vaishali Police, the Uttarakhand Police arrested Amit Kumar and Vishal Kumar.

Kushwaha was arrested by the police on December 9, however Prince Kumar remained on the run. In order to question him and retrieve the stolen gold jewellery, Uttarakhand Police will take him to Dehradun under transit remand.
