The Delhi police have arrested a 60-year-old man, who killed his mother 33 years ago, for shooting his son dead in Rohini area of New Delhi.
The man identified as Ompal, a property dealer, shot one of his five sons who was declared dead immediately. The son tried to stop his father from shouting at his mother on Monday night. His wife, Pavitra Devi, had asked him not to drink alcohol.
The father and the son started arguing and soon ended up fighting with each other.
In the middle of the fight, Ompal went inside the house, got a licensed pistol and opened fire at the son.
An alcoholic, Ompal had shot and killed his mother Maya Devi in 1987 after she had asked him to stop drinking. He was convicted in connection with his mother’s murder and released after serving the sentence.
Police have seized the pistol of the accused.
The Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested two men in connection with the TikTok celebrity murder. The victim, Mohit Mor, was shot at least 13 times, by three people, including a juvenile on May 21.
Mor and the accused were a part of rival gangs in the area.
Police had apprehended the juvenile last year, while the other two men were on the run since the murder. DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said, “One of Delhi’s most wanted criminals Vikas, and his associate Rohit Dagar have been arrested. They were wanted in many cases of murder, robbery, and extortion in Delhi and Haryana. They were wanted in the murder of Tik Tok star Mohit Mor.” Yadav said that Delhi Police had put a reward of Rs 1.2 lakh on Vikas, and Rs 25,000 on Dagar.”
