Delhi Congress chief Anil Chaudhary detained by Delhi Police

Anil Chaudhary said in his video that "He has been detained from his place by Delhi police and he does not even have any clue about it."

The Delhi Congress chief Anil Chaudhary was detained by Delhi Police, Chaudhary confirmed about his detention through a video which he shared it on his official Twitter handle.

Anil Chaudhary said in his video that “He has been detained from his place by Delhi police and he does not even have any clue about it, he further added to it that whenever he will know, he will inform everyone through his social media platform about it.

The officials of Delhi police said that by the move of Chaudhary to drop the migrant workers, a number of migrant workers gathered there and were flouting the social distancing norms.

Delhi Police further added that now various option are available for migrant workers like online registration and Anil broke the lockdown rules, thus he has been detained.

DCP South-East District R P Meena said Rahul Gandhi and some Congressmen interacted with the 15 labourers, including four women and a child. “After spending about 15-20 minutes, he left the place,” he said.

Meena said the others accompanying the Congress leader were asked by SHO New Friends Colony to follow social distancing norms and later they took the migrant workers with them.

Delhi Police said that it was Rahul Gandhi’s associates who took the workers away.

Chaudhary said that the migrants, including women, children and elderly, were walking from Haryana to their native place in Jhansi when they were stopped by the police near Modi Mill flyover. He said that Delhi Congress arranged 8-10 vehicles to carry the migrant workers following the social distancing norms.
