Delhi: Fire breaks out in a godown in Mundka, 21 fire tenders at spot

A fire broke out in a plywood factory in West Delhi’s Mundka area early on Saturday morning.

The fire has spread to a bulb factory located opposite the building. As many as 21 fire tenders are working to douse the blaze. No casualties have been reported yet.

A massive fire erupted through a four-story building housing illegal manufacturing units in Anaj Mandi, killing 43.

At least 62 were injured. Officials found that it was packed with combustible material and had just one door, virtually making it a “fire trap”.

The fire was the second deadliest in Delhi’s history.
