In a shocking incident, a 32-year-old man in Delhi killed his wife for not keeping Karva Chauth fast on Sunday. He later jumped from a four-storey building on the same night. According to PTI, the woman, identified as Rohini, is undergoing treatment in a hospital, while her husband, Jaswinder Singh, is no more.
Rohini informed the police that her husband was upset as she didn’t keep a fast on karva chauth. The couple was living separately as they had recently filed for divorce. According to police, the incident is set to have taken place when he came to meet her at her parents’ home. On reaching there, Singh asked her to come with him to the terrace as he wanted to talk about something.
Their four-year-old daughter also followed them. Soon their discussion turned into a heated argument and Singh stabbed Rohini with a knife.
Their daughter witnessed the incident. After stabbing his wife, Jaswinder jumped from the terrace. He was declared ‘brought dead’ by the doctors.
