Delhi Metro commuters aren’t very happy with the fare hike that has come into effect from today. This is the second fare hike this year and there is a surge of Rs 10 for all travels beyond 5 km.
A substantial part of the capital’s population uses metro for daily conveyance. The fare hike will not just leave a hole in their pockets but affect their overall allocation of budget that they spend on commute. As a result of the move, many commuters have decided to opt for alternate modes of transport.
Twitter saw a mixed response from people over the move. While some expressed disappointment, others took a sarcastic dig at the decision.
