As rain lashes the streets of the national capital on Wednesday, Delhiites got some relief from the scornful heat. The rain accompanied by thunderstorm dipping the mercury to 30 degree Celcius.
Delhi, Noida and Gurugram on Wednesday afternoon received intermittent rains.

The thunderstorm accompanied rainfall occurred in various parts of Delhi also halted the traffic for a while in the city. Roads such as Vikas Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, NH 8 and NH 1 witnessed heavy traffic.
The minimum temperature had settled at 26.4 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season’s average. An official of the department said that humidity level recorded at 8.30 AM was 65 per cent. However, earlier, the MeT department had forecast rains and a maximum temperature of around 38 degrees Celsius.
“The skies will become partly cloudy later in the day. There is a possibility of rains or thunderstorm in the evening,” a MeT official had said.
Notably, more rains are expected in the evening and late night hours said reports.
