Dil Bechara’s debutant Sanjana Sanghi is all set to star opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in the movie Om: The Battle Within. As reported by Mumbai Mirror, she is playing the role of a girl who’s ‘confident, hardworking, sharp, empathetic and brave.’

Revealing what appealed to her about OM,  Sanjana told Mumbai Mirror, “I explored many scripts, but OM offered me the spectrum jump that I was looking for, giving me an entirely unchartered territory of a big commercial actioner.” The film is set to go on floors next month and is being bankrolled by Zee Productions and Ahmed and Shaira Khan.

The news of Sanjana Sanghi signing Om: The Battle Within was shared by Taran Adarsh on Twitter. The trade analyst also informed that the movie will be shot in three Indian cities and an international location.

Aditya had announced the film on his 35th birthday which is the directorial debut of action director Tinu Verma’s son. Om: The Battle Within is going to roll in early December while the makers are eyeing to release it in the second half of 2021.

While Sanjana Sanghi made her debut in a leading role with Mukesh Chhabra’s Dil Bechara, she first appeared on the big screen in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar in 2011. She later featured in small but significant roles in films such as 2017’s Hindi Medium and Fukrey Returns. In Dil Bechara, she starred opposite the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The actress also received a message full of praise for her performance in Dil Bechara from author John Green, whose book The Fault In Our Stars inspired the Hindi romantic tragedy.
